THE TARGET
Working as a subconsultant to HMR Engineers, WAS provided the planning effort for an envisioning of Canal Road’s infill development
and redevelopment as a walkable corridor with
neighborhoods occurring at key locations. WAS ran public participation meetings and provided
ideas for consideration to the participants. The ideas were assembled into a master plan document that addresses lot development
and building disposition as well as street and streetscape improvements. The city is currently working with ALDOT as well as preparing a form-based code to guide implementation of the plan.
